"An Ocean In Paint"

近年、僕の作品の中に度々現れる"海"がテーマになっています。

航海士が天体の動きや自然の声を聞きながら進むべき道を見つけたように、今回の展示は12/1(日)〜12/31(火)の1ヶ月間、会場となるorbitの壁に直接絵を描いていきます。

展示終了と共に絵は消され、作品そのものは後には残りません。

これはどこにいたか、どこへ行くかは問題ではなく"この瞬間どこにいるかが全て"という思いから発展していった、ある種のヴィジョン・クエストとも言えます。

10周年を迎え、11年目に入るorbitの新しい門出を祝うと同時に、自然の声を聞かない現代人や富の蓄積への警告も含み。体験の重要性、今この瞬間、この波をシェアする素晴らしさ、波にのり人生を送る喜び、どの波ひとつ取っても同じものはないという気付き、自身の体験と"Voyager(航海者)"たちから着想を得たテーゼであり、メッセージです。


An "Ocean" which often appears in my work is the central theme of this exhibition.
I am continually composing my work from December 1 to 31 directly on a wall of orbit, just as the sailors found their passage by observing the movements of constellations or by listening to the voice of the nature. The work will be erased when the exhibition is over, just as our footprints on the beach will be washed away. This challenge could be stated as some sort of vision quest, derived from my emotion to "be here now at this moment" rather than focusing on where we were in the past or where we will reach in the future.
Not only a celebration of the past decade of orbit turning to 11th, this is a message given inspiration from my personal experience and the acts of "voyagers" I love. Give a warning to modern society streamlined to accumulate wealth by ignoring the voice of nature, by rendering importance of immediate experience on the wall: sharing this moment with the others, this wave, a jubilation of life being on the wave, an insight that no same wave will arrive again.

Exhibition Partyは全部で3回。
展示と連動して、DJとコラボレーションした3枚のMIX CDのリリースがあります。

12/15(日)はプロデューサー、DJである"Max Essa"と企画した"Breakfast Club"これは日曜日の朝の6時からお昼の12時までという新しいスタイルのパーティー。メキシコから帰国後「旅するケータリングチーム」"MANGOSTEEN"や現代美術館内のレストラン"content"などで活躍中のシェフ"Holy"による朝食もお楽しみに。

12/18(水)は"DJ Sandnorm"による7 Hoursセット。自身初となるMIX CDのリリースパーティー。フェスやレイブ、ビーチ、野外パーティーを通った耳にも新鮮な東京ボヘミアンサウンド。

12/21(土)はorbitで通称"南米"と呼ばれているパーティーの番外編。MIX CDはCITY COUNTRY CITYの店長であり、レコードバイヤー、DJ、ライターの"Fuzzdaddy"が担当。
